Weaponized Cone of Shame

There comes a time in a puppy’s life when the vet suddenly becomes very ‘unfun.’ Our little Comet had that visit on Friday. Friday was not a great day for him, but Saturday he began to perk up. Then he began to plot his revenge.

He wasn’t sure how revenge was going to work out, so he enjoyed the pampering in the meantime.

"Can we watch Lassie?"

“Can we watch Lassie?”

By the dawn of Sunday, Comet’s plan was more or less complete. Now that the so-called Cone of Shame is not longer an impediment to eating, drinking, or running around the house (though there is that itchy spot he still can’t get to), he plotted to use it against the very foe that put it on him.

So far today, I have been goosed, poked, and slammed by that plastic blade.

But I knew I was in trouble when Comet learned to use it to throw snowballs.

Yes, you heard that right. He scoops up snow and flings it at me.

Aftermath. One happy, snowy puppy.

Only five more days of this, and I can disarm him. That will be a good day.
